The football videos will be ready Thursday and available at the HS Office for free. Donations will be accepted to help with the camera.

Deadline for First 32 pages!

The deadline for the first 32 pages is December 17, the day before winter break. This gives you a little over three weeks to complete an opening and/or a senior layout if you have one. We will make any needed adjustment (revising, editing, layout changes) after the break.

Ronnie we need to examine the cover and endsheets ASAP.

We have a coverage problem.

The upcoming Class B State Championship present a problem. Obviously, everyone wants to take part as a fan. This is a once in a life time experience. However, if we just take part all we will have is the memories in our heads. The video and photographs we do or don't take will be a permanent record that can be savored over time. Bottom line is we need to plan for coverage. Available seniors get first pick for the quarter and the camera/video camera. In addition, we need to have a lesson in how to adjust the cameras when they are under or overexposed and/or blurry. The D80 pictures were 97% useless and the D700 were underexposed and blurry at the end. I will go over the camera adjustments in class.

Quinci edited the highlight video at the volleyball game last night. We found that earlier preparation of content from other events would help greatly. Camera people should pay attention and mark by number photos and video clips that they think will be useful. This way when we are editing the that nights highlights we can locate them quickly.

We finished and played that highlights without watching it to proof any mistakes. That is dangerous. It seemed to be alright last night, but in the future we need more attention to detail by everyone.

I am going to miss my first home football game in five years this Friday. We need to set up a schedule by quarter of who is taking video and photos. The most important item is who is responsible for getting the equipment there and taking it home to bring in first thing Monday morning.

Those people that have yet to contribute in filming and taking pictures do not have a grade posted yet. When you do you will receive a grade. At the moment you have zip.

This is my first post, i just became a member of the blog. i'm going to be on here a lot.

Monday we need a post to vote on Themes selected by seniors. I need to get all the newb's accounts so they can vote. Once the theme is selected we need theme appropriate titles for each section.

I will be assigning capturing homework with take home of the camera, laptop and a hard drive to keep up with sports clips. We have Stillwater and little WF soccer (boys and girls) , TFalls volleyball and Conrad football.

Winter Sports and Underclass Layouts

Basketball and underclass layouts are due March 23rd, that means revised, edited, and clean. Please refresh your memory as to the quality of the layouts handed in on the last deadline. Check your image preparation (300 dpi, CMYK, image quality), fonts, and name spellings in particular.

Oh and everyone else, we should probably start taking underclass pictures somehow. Maybe someone could have the camera during school, at lunch, or right after school because its going to be pretty hard to find good pictures to put on the underclass layouts. Thanks :)

Umm we need some staff pictures so if you could take them during class that'd be splendid. Use a prop! Prop's that we already used were: headphones, waterbottle, cord, flag, stapler and spray bottle. Please try not to use the same ones :)

Also if you want any pictures made "retro" or whatever (like the staff pictures) put them on the epic in the folder called pictures for Q. Thanks!
